Overview: The Health Informatics Lab (HI-Lab) invites applications for a Research Traineeship focused on the computational and mathematical aspects of 3D Medical Image Reconstruction. The trainee will focus on the processing of volumetric data and the development of reconstruction algorithms for clinical imaging applications.

Requirements:

  • Academic: Currently enrolled Undergraduate (AI, CS, CE, ME, CM, or EE).
  • Mathematical Foundations: Solid understanding of 3D Geometry, Graphics (Projections), Coordinate Transformations, and Matrix Algebra.
  • Technical: Fundamental knowledge of Digital Image Processing; proficiency in Python.
  • Soft Skills: Strong analytical thinking and ability to work within a research team.

Program Details:

  • Nature: Traineeship (Unpaid / Research-focused).
  • Period: February 25 – June 25, 2026.
  • Location: Health Informatics Lab, Kathmandu University.
