Overview: The Health Informatics Lab (HI-Lab) invites applications for an intensive AI Research Traineeship designed to bridge the gap between classroom theory and cutting-edge research. Trainees will progress through a structured trajectory, beginning with the mathematical foundations of Machine Learning and culminating in the development of a localized LLM-based agent for global research synthesis.

Requirements:

  • Academic: Currently enrolled Undergraduate (AI, CS, CE, CM, or EE).
  • Mathematical Foundations: Solid understanding of Matrices, Linear Algebra, and Calculus.
  • Technical: Foundational programming skills (Python preferred); basic understanding of LLMs and APIs.
  • Soft Skills: Strong communication skills and a commitment to a collaborative team environment.

Program Details:

  • Nature: Traineeship (Unpaid / Research-focused).
  • Period: February 15 – June 15, 2026.
  • Location: Health Informatics Lab, Kathmandu University.
